Welcome to Spindle Class
2025/26
Our Year 4 teaching team are Mrs Peirson, Miss Prior and Mrs Campbell.
We are so excited to welcome you into Spindle Class! In Year 4, we focus on building greater independence, deepening our understanding across subjects, and developing a growth mindset. Whether it’s diving into captivating books, exploring fascinating science topics, or mastering new maths strategies, we’ll be learning together every step of the way.
Important Information
Our PE lessons are on Mondays and Thursdays this term.
Children will need to come to school dressed in their full PE kit.
The PE kit consists of:
White t-shirt with blue school logo
Navy shorts
Black or Navy Jogging Pants (for cold weather)
Appropriate trainers (preferably black).
Please ensure that earrings are taken out if possible or the children have access to earring tape.
Home Learning will be sent out on Tuesdays. Please could these be returned on Monday.
Please ensure children have water bottles and reading books in school everyday.

Times Tables
By the end of Year 4 it is expected that children can recall all times tables up to 12 x 12 in under 6 seconds.

Spellings
We will also be having weekly spelling practise. Each week, spelling homework will be sent home on this website:
